Join us on St. George's Square

We will be running the next phase of our SWIFT project on Saturday, October 29th from 11am to 4pm in Guelph's St. George's Square. We'll be stencilling our iconic Chimney Swift silhouette on sidewalks and around the square and will have stencils to give out and all are welcome to join in. We got started earlier in the week, distributing some of our multiples to various local businesses. We have samples of all our items at 10 Carden Street, Tshirts at The Wild Rose (23 A Macdonell St.), narrative postcards at The Bookshelf (41 Quebec St.), buttons at Planet Bean (51 Macdonell St.) and Wyndham Art Supplies (125 Wyndham Street North), and a set of 3 posters around the core.
All of this activity is meant to both raise awareness about the plight of the endangered chimney swift and encourage dialogue and discussion about displacement, change and adaptation within the broader community. The SWIFT project is a commission of the Musagetes Foundation and is part of their multi-artist 1mile2 initiative.
